Welcome to our stunning 1987 3dr Cosworth.
Having acquired the car as part of a Ford collection, we have taken the time to ensure this Cosworth has been treated with the best possible care.
The story starts with the current keeper purchasing the car in 2011. A true Ford enthusiast.
Since then, the car has been part of the family. Stored in a dry, heated garage.
There is no rust anywhere. We have over 100 photographs of virtually every angle and happy to send some/all of them to any interested party. The car has been in the garage since 2015.
Upon purchasing. We decided to make this 3dr a classic RS that can be enjoyed and not the usual barn find that cannot even be started due to the belts and fluids being of age.
We have spent over 20 hours, renewing all of the serviceable items, from only the best, most knowledgable suppliers.
All of the following parts are from Graham Goode Racing, at a cost of over £1500. Cambelt and tensioner, all fluids including gearbox fluid, all filters including fuel filter, air filter, oil filter. Full hose kit due to potential perishing. New fuel pump, plugs, and reconditioned rocker cover.
The turbo was then sent to Turbo Techniques to be reconditioned as is as new. It would have been cheaper to have a new turbo, but we wanted to keep this fast Ford as original as we could. Over £750.
Brand new fuel tank just installed.
We have a folder full of paperwork, including the original service book, the first one at 1500 miles on 10/01/1989. Plus the original delivery report from Walker Jackson & Co LTD Swindon! All original handbooks, and paperwork.
The car is stunning throughout. We are very proud of it.
Viewings are welcomed by appointment, and test drives will only be carried out by a member of staff and will be accompanied. Finance options are available.
